We invite our little guests and their parents to delve into the atmosphere of New Year's Eve miracle and magic! The Small Puppet Theatre will present at the Museum of 20th and 21st Century Art of St Petersburg the puppet show The Nutcracker on 27 December at 13:00. The Light and Air exhibition will be exclusively open only to our audience, and there will be a special guided tour for adults.
This story is about a girl, Marie, to whom incredible events happen on Christmas Eve. She is waiting for her godfather, Mr Drosselmeyer, together with her brother Fritz. The godfather gives her a toy for cracking nuts – the Nutcracker. Marie believes that the Nutcracker is alive, and the girl's kindness and love really bring her new friend to life. Exciting adventures are awaiting Marie and the Nutcracker, as well as fateful battles and happy ending. The little spectators will become storytellers and real participants of the performance, will fight with the Mouse King and turn into magical creatures from the fairyland. Tchaikovsky’s music will help the audience to plunge into the wonderful world of Hoffman's fairy tale.
