“ART BAGGAGE” SUMMER HOLIDAY CAMP

Each of us has surely had the experience of settling in an unfamiliar place, meeting new people, changing teams. Have you felt excitement or fear, a desire to prove yourself and make a good impression? According to psychologists' research, about 20% of people consider adaptation to be the most stressful situation in their lives. It is much more difficult for children, especially if they have to adapt to a new country and culture.

For several years, our museum has been running the Art Baggage programme, which helps children from migrant families to learn more about St Petersburg through art and play. Lectures, workshops and guided tours are organised for small groups so that the children feel as comfortable as possible, so that everyone can ask for help and express oneself.

There is guided tour project Trails for teenagers, and the activities Art Camp and Facets of St Petersburg are for younger children.
