Museum of 20–21 Century Art of St Petersburg will present a unique exhibition project Animalistic Art. In Jest and in Earnest from 16 December 2024 until 09 March 2025. Thirty-six state museums from different regions of the Russian Federation will participate in the project. Vistors will view the works of the world-famous artists, such as Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Niko Pirosmani, Boris Grigoriev, Svyatoslav Roerich and discover completely unknown names, whose art pieces will be shown in our city for the first time.

Paintings, graphics and sculpture included in the exposition are elaborating on the themes of “relationship” between animals and humans, animal existence in nature, as well as offer “portraits” of our lesser brothers.
