Museum on 20th–21st Century Art of St Petersburg presented exhibition project Russian Strings, Strong Feelings... at the Alfredo Guati Rojo National Watercolour Museum, Mexico City, Mexico. It included 60 graphic artworks, mostly watercolours, covering a vast period of time and diversely reflecting the history of Leningrad – St Petersburg fine art from the 1940s to the present day.

The exhibition demonstrated a wide range of art trends and styles. It comprised the works by Soviet artists as well as those created in the last two decades of the twentieth century – in the time following the collapse of the Soviet Union and the emergence of the new Russia.
