Studied at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1960–1965) in the Department of Monumental and Decorative Painting under P. D. Buchkin, I. P. Stepashkin and S. A. Petrov. Exhibited from 1966. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1975). Taught at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1972–1980); the Baltic University of Ecology, Politics and Law, St Petersburg (2000–2008).
