Studied at the Military Academy of Logistics and Supply, Leningrad (1952–1956); a theatrical studio at the Kirov Palace of Culture (1952–1956); Leningrad State Theatre Institute (1956–1957) in the Faculty of Stage Direction; Leningrad Technological Institute of Refrigeration (1966–1971). Exhibited from 1974. Member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1982), the St Petersburg Academy of Contemporary Art association (1995), the Artists’ Union of Russia (1997). Worked as a set painter at the Maly Opera Theatre (1958); as an engineer at the All-Union Metrology Research Institute (1960s – early 1970s), the All-Union Fats Research Institute in Leningrad (1970s).
