Studied at Ryazan Art College (1951–1956); the Repin Institute of Arts as an undergraduate (1957–1963) under V. M. Oreshnikov, and a postgraduate (1963–1966). Exhibited from 1963. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1967). Taught at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1966–2008). Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts (St Petersburg).
