Studied at Leningrad Institute of Finance and Economics (1977–1982) in the Department of Cybernetics. Exhibited since 1984. Member of the Mitki group (1984), the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1985), the USSR Union of Artists (1991). Art editor for the Detgiz publishing house (since 1998). Taught at Leningrad Institute of Finance and Economics (1982–1989). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), Museum of Nonconformist Art, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (both St Petersburg), Artistic Culture of the Russian North State Museum Association (Arkhangelsk).
