Studied at Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (1963–1968) in the Faculty of Theatre Production under N. P. Akimov. Exhibited since 1968. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1972). Worked as a production designer at the Lenfilm studio (1969), the Krasnoyarsk Young Spectators’ Theatre (1969), the Pushkin Theatre, Leningrad (1970–1971). Lives and works in St Petersburg and Paris, France (since the early 1990s).
