Studied at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1980–1985) in the Faculty of Industrial Art. Exhibited since 1987. Member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1987), women’s art groups Ya liubliu tebia, Zhizn! (I Love You, Life!, 1991) and Liubimye liudi (Beloved People, 1995), the Free Culture Partnership (1999). Worked as a director of the Museum of Nonconformist Art (1999–2001), the St Petersburg Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Art (2003–2011), as an art journalist and critic (mid-1990s–2000s). Co-organizer of the CYLAND MediaArtLab (2007); co‑organizer and curator of the Cyberfest festival (2007–2014). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: Museum of Nonconformist Art, S. P. Diaghilev Museum of Contemporary Art, State Hermitage, State Museum of the Political History of Russia (all St Petersburg), State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan).
