Studied at the Art Studio of the Vasileostrovsky District Palace of Pioneers, Leningrad (1970–1973); Leningrad Institute of Soviet Trade (1982–1988). Exhibited since 1990. Member of the group Necrorealism (1984). Participated in the exhibition Territory of Art organised by the State Russian Museum together with the Institut Supérieur Libre des Arts Plastiques, Paris (1990). Co-founder with V. A. Mazin of the Freud Museum of Dreams, St Petersburg (1999); co-founder with Ye. S. Mishin of the Centre for Thanatology at the I. I. Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University (2002). Lives and works in St Petersburg.
