Studied at VKhUTEIN, Pg-L (1926–1929) under K. S. Petrov-Vodkin, N. I. Altman; Academie Moderne in Paris, France (1929–1930) under F. Léger. Exhibited from 1923. Member of the associations ONTI (Association of New Art Trends, 1922–1923), Krug khudozhnikov (Circle of Artists, 1929), Union of Soviet Artists (1932). Worked in the Experimental Printing Workshop of the Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (from 1936); as a designer in the Kazan Bolshoi Drama Theatre (1941–1944). Main collections: Moscow Museum of Modern Art, ROSIZO, State Museum of Fine Arts, State Museum of the History of Russian Literature (all Moscow), State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova at the Fountain House, State Literary and Memorial Museum of F.
