Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1963– 1970); the Repin Institute of Arts (1971–1977) in the Faculty of Sculpture under I. V. Krestovsky and M. K. Anikushin. Exhibited since 1975. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1981). Teaches at the G. V. Sviridov Children’s Art School, St Petersburg (since 1991). Honoured Artist of Russia (2010). Awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2004). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), Pskov and Izborsk Integrated Museum-Reserve; National Art Museum of China (Beijing), Harbin Museum of Fine Arts (both China).
