Studied at the Workers Faculty of VKhUTEMAS – VKhUTEIN, Moscow (1926–1929) under N. N. Kupriianov and V. A. Favorsky; the Institute of Proletarian Fine Arts, Leningrad (1930) in the Faculty of Painting; the Institute of Literature, Leningrad (1931). Exhibited from 1925. Worked as a window dresser and designer of exhibitions (1930s). Participant in WWII.
