Studied at Kharkov Art College (1914); Ye. A. Agafonov’s studio (1914); VKhUTEIN, Pg–L (1922–1926) under A. Ye. Karev. Exhibited from 1928. Member of the associations Golubaia liliia (Blue Lily, 1909–1911), Krug khudozhnikov (Circle of Artists, 1927–1932), co-founder and member of the Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (1932). Creator of painted panels for the Communications Workers’ House of Culture, Leningrad (late 1930s). Veteran of WWI, awarded the Cross of St George, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st class. Main collections: State Russian Museum (St Petersburg), Artistic Culture of the Russian North State Museum Association (Arkhangelsk), A. N. Radischev State Art Museum (Saratov).
