Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1952–1959); the Repin Institute of Arts (1959–1965) in the Faculty of Graphic Art. Exhibited since 1965. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1975). Worked as an artist in Russian and foreign publishing houses (since the 1970s). Awarded the Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2003). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), National Library of Russia, State Literary and Memorial Museum of F. M.
