Painter
Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1938– 1939); the Repin Institute of Arts as an undergraduate (1939, 1945–1950) in the Faculty of Painting under V. M. Oreshnikov, and a post-graduate (1950–1952). Exhibited from 1950. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1950). Taught at the Repin Institute of Arts (1952– 1973), Professor (1972). Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (1970). WWII veteran, awarded medals For the Defence of Leningrad, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Main collections: Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts (St Petersburg), Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts, Fine Arts Museum of the Republic of Karelia (Petrozavodsk), I. Ya. Slovtsov Museum Complex (Tyumen).
