Studied at the Repin Institute of Arts (1961–1967) in the Faculty of Sculpture under V. B. Pinchuk. Exhibited since 1963. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1973). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (1998). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1945). Main collections: State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Samara, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Zelenogorsk.
