The exhibition was dedicated to the oeuvre of Sergei Diaghilev, a remarkable figure in Russian culture, a passionate promoter of Russian art in the West, a reformer and discoverer of new forms and new names, and his contribution to the development of world ballet.

A bronze bust Portrait of Sergei Diaghilev (1997), by the outstanding Russian sculptor Levon Lazarev, from the Museum of 20^th and 21^st Century Art of St Petersburg was included in the exposition.
