Studied at Leningrad Electro-Technical Institute of Communications (1957–1962); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1968–1973) in the Faculty of Monumental and Decorative Art. Exhibited from 1974. Founder and member of the Aleph group (1975), member of the Association for Experimental Exhibitions (1975). Lived and worked in Leningrad until 1977, when he emigrated to Israel, lived at the Ein Hod artists’ village near Haifa (1977–2008). Main collections: State Russian Museum (St Petersburg).
