Studied at Astrakhan Art School (1928–1932) under P. A. Vlasov; the preparatory courses for the Repin Institute of Arts (1932–1935); the Repin Institute of Arts (1935–1936) in the Faculty of Painting. Exhibited from 1951. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1957). Worked at Lenizo (1936–1941, 1945–1954). WWII veteran, awarded medals For Courage, For the Defence of Leningrad and For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Main collections: P. M.
