Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1936–1939); the Repin Institute of Arts (1939–1941, 1945–1950) in the Faculty of Painting under B. V. Ioganson, A. A. Osmerkin, A. D. Zaitsev, G. V. Pavlovsky and G. A. Savinov. Exhibited from 1939. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1950), the Gruppa “Odinnadtsati” (Group of “Eleven”) association (1972). Taught at Leningrad Art College (1950–1958). Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Irbit, Karaganda, Kazan, Murmansk, Vologda, Yoshkar-Ola and others.
