Studied at Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1968–1975) in the Department of Costume Design. Exhibited since 1988. Member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation (1992). Worked as an artist in Leningrad Fashion House (1975–1978); in the magazines Mir Dizaina (World of Design), NOMI, Peterburg na Nevskom (Petersburg on Nevsky), Teoriia mody (Theory of Fashion), ProSto Design and others (1998–2002); as costume designer in the theatre Baltic House, Experimental Stage (2000–2008). Taught at the State Academy of Domestic Sphere and Services (1992–1998); Baltic Institute of Ecology, Politics and Law (1999–2016); Head of the Costume Design Department at St Petersburg State University (since 2019). Author of the book about St Petersburg costume design Modnye liudi (Fashionable People, 2009). Prize-winner at the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Turku, Finland (2003).
