Studied at Kaluga Сhildren’s Art School (1971– 1974); Saratov Art College (1974–1978) under V. S. Uspensky; the Repin Institute of Arts (1982–1988) in the Faculty of Painting under A. A. Mylnikov. Exhibited since 1978. Member of the Artists’ Union of Russia (1995), chairman of the board of St Petersburg Union of Artists (since 2018). Worked at the Art and Design Workshops of the Kaluga Branch of the RSFSR Art Fund (1988–1992); created monumental works for public buildings in Kaluga, Kamyshin, Pskov, St Petersburg and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (1987–2003). Taught at Kaluga Сhildren’s Art School (1978–1979); Associate Professor at St Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design (since 2004). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1981).
