Studied at the Leningrad Palace of Pioneers art studio (1960–1965) under S. D. Levin; Leningrad State Institute of Culture (1967–1972) in the Library Faculty; Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1976–1981) in the Faculty of Industrial Art. Exhibited since 1983. Member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1983), the St Petersburg Branch of the Artist’s Union of Russia (1994). Worked as an etcher of clichés in the Ivan Fedorov Printing Works (1974–1976), designer at the Plastpribor factory (1980s), an artist for the magazine Koster (Bonfire), in the Detskoe vremia (Children’s Time) publishing house and elsewhere (from 1990). Teacher and head of the art studio at the teenagers’ club Smena (Succession, 1987–1992). Lives and works in St Petersburg.
