Studied at the Military Academy of Logistics and Supply, Leningrad (1952–1956); a theatrical studio at the Kirov Palace of Culture (1952–1956); Leningrad State Theatre Institute (1956–1957) in the Faculty of Stage Direction; Leningrad Technological Institute of Refrigeration (1966–1971). Exhibited from 1974. Member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1982), the St Petersburg Academy of Studied at Leningrad Agricultural Mechanization Institute (1951– 1956); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1963–1968) in the evening department of the Faculty of Industrial Art. Exhibited since 1975. Member of the Aleph group (1975), the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1981). Worked as an industrial designer, head of laboratory in the Leningrad Branch of the Research Institute for Technical Aesthetics (1968– 1976); as a design engineer, group leader in the Luch Leningrad Industrial Association (1976–1983). Lived and worked in St Petersburg before emigrating from Russia; based in Düsseldorf, Germany, since 2004.
