Studied at the Repin Institute of Arts as an undergraduate (1968–1974) in the Faculty of Painting under A. A. Mylnikov, and as a postgraduate (1974–1977). Exhibited since 1977. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1978). Teaches at the Repin Institute of Arts (since 1977), Professor (2006). Academician of the Petrovskaia Academy of Sciences and Arts (2018). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: State Museum of the History of St Petersburg (St Petersburg), Achinsk Museum and Exhibition Centre, Ulyanovsk Regional Art Museum.
