Painter, graphic artist
Studied at Tbilisi Art College (1976–1980) in the Department of Theatre Set Design; the Repin Institute of Arts (1982–1984) in the Faculty of Painting under E. S. Kochergin. Exhibited since 1982. Member of the USSR Union of the Artists (1988), IFA (1995). Worked as a set painter at the V. Abashidze Georgian Musical Comedy Theatre in Tbilisi, the Sukhumi Young Spectators’ Theatre, the Georgian Film studio (1970s–1980s). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1990). Main collections: Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), State Russian Museum (St Petersburg), State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Petrozavodsk, Pskov, Stary Oskol; National Gallery of Abkhazia (Sukhumi, Georgia), National Gallery of Georgia (Tbilisi, Georgia).
