Studied at PGSKhUM (1918–1920) under V. V. Lebedev and V. I. Denisov; VKhUTEIN, Pg–L (1922–1927) in the Department of Painting under K. S. Petrov-Vodkin. Exhibited from 1926. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (1939). Worked at a fabric painting workshop under V. V. Lebedev (1930s); for the magazines Yezh (Hedgehog), Chizh (Siskin), Murzilka, for the Detgiz, Uchpedgiz and Lenizdat publishing houses (1930s); in the Experimental Printing Studio affiliated with the Leningrad Branch of the Union of Soviet Artists (from 1936). Main collections: State Museum of Architecture (Moscow), National Library of Russia, State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova at the Fountain House, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), T.
