Studied at the Children’s Art School, Orenburg (1967–1971); G. G. Myasoedov Art College, Orel (1972–1977); the Repin Institute of Arts (1982– 1988) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under V. A. Vetrogonsky. Exhibited since 1977. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1991). Taught at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1988–1993).
