Studied at A. R. Eberling’s studio (1949–1951); Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1952–1958); the Repin Institute of Arts (1958–1964) in the Faculty of Painting under A. D. Zaitsev. Exhibited since 1968. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1973). Teaches at the Repin Institute of Arts (since 1976), Professor (2001). Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2020). Awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2009). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: Anna Akhmatova. The Silver Age Museum, Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, S. P.
