Studied at the Repin Institute of Arts (1961– 1967) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under A. F. Pakhomov. Exhibited since 1968. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1972). Worked as an artist for Detskaia literatura (Children’s Literature), Malysh (Kid) and Nigma publishing houses (since 1968). Awarded the Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts (2003). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1945). Main collections: ROSIZO, State Tretyakov Gallery (both Moscow), National Library of Russia, Peterhof State Museum-Reserve, State Hermitage, State Literary and Memorial Museum of Anna Akhmatova at the Fountain House, State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), Mikhailovskoe State Museum- Reserve of A. S. Pushkin (Pskov Region), State art museums in Arkhangelsk, Irbit, Krasnoyarsk, Kurgan, Murmansk, Rybinsk, Volgograd and others.
