Studied at the N. S. Samokish Crimean Art College, Simferopol (1958–1963); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1965–1970) in the Department of Monumental and Decorative Sculpture under V. L. Rybalko. Exhibited since 1963. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1973), co-founder and member of the Gruppa vosmi – Lestnitsa (Group of Eight – Stairs) association (1975), member of the Tsayar association (1995). Worked as an artist at the Art and Design Workshops and the Applied Art and Sculpture Workshops of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Art Fund (1971–1995). Creator of monumental works in St Petersburg, Yevpatoria and other cities in Russia and Ukraine. Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1963) and Tel Aviv, Israel (since 2005). Main collections: State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), State Museum of Urban Sculpture (St Petersburg), Vologda Picture Gallery; Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum (Vilnius, Lithuania).
