Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1962–1966); the Repin Institute of Arts (1966–1972) in the Faculty of Painting. Exhibited since 1972. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1975), the St Petersburg Academy of Contemporary Art association (1995). Worked as a set designer for theatres in Kazan, Astrakhan, Moscow, St Petersburg, Tomsk and Tula (since 1972); as an artist for the Detgiz, Vita Nova and Redkaia Kniga (Rare Books) publishing houses (since 1990). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1961).
