Studied at M. P. Zandin’s private studio (1943–1944) at the Kirov Theatre. Exhibited from 1946. Member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists (1949). Worked as a set designer at the Kirov Theatre (from 1947), the Maly Opera Theatre, the Bolshoi Drama Theatre, the V. I. Lenin Palace of Culture (from 1949), the Variety Theatre, the State New Theatre – Lensovet Theatre, the First Piatiletka Palace of Culture (from 1950), the Pushkin Theatre (from 1953), the Leningrad Comedy Theatre (from 1956), the State Theatre of Musical Comedy (from 1960), all Leningrad, the K. S. Stanislavsky and V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre in Moscow (1961), the Lenfilm studio in Leningrad, the Sovremennik Theatre in Moscow (from 1963), the Lithuanian Film Studio in Vilnius (1965), theatres in the Ukrainian SSR (from 1967).
