Studied at the I. K. Aivazovsky Art School, Feodosia (1962–1967); Leningrad Art College (1967–1971) in the Department of Restoration; Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1971–1976) in the Faculty of Industrial Art. Exhibited from 1980. Member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1982–1988), the Group of Fourteen (1985–1986), the Free Culture Humanitarian Foundation (1992). Worked as designer at the Izhora Plant (1976–1979); an artist at the Artistic Design Studio of the Tosno District House of Culture (1979–1990). Main collections: Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), Museum of Nonconformist Art, S. P. Diaghilev Museum of Contemporary Art, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), State art museums in Samara and Veliky Novgorod; Zimmerli Art Museum (New Brunswick, USA).
