Studied at the Art Studio of the House of Children’s Artistic Education, Leningrad (1932–1937); the Art Studio of the Leningrad Palace of Pioneers (1937–1940); Leningrad Art College (1946– 1947); the Repin Institute of Arts (1947–1953) in the Faculty of Painting under V. M. Oreshnikov. Exhibited from 1953. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1953). Worked as an artist at the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Art Fund (1953–1990). Taught at the Repin Institute of Arts (1960s) in the Evening Classes; Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (1960s–1970s); head of the Art Studio at the V. P. Kapranov Palace of Culture (1980s). WWII veteran, awarded medals For Battle Merit, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945.
