Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1974–1981); Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (1982–1988) in the Faculty of Theatre Production under G. P. Sotnikov. Exhibited from 1986. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1990). Worked as a designer in theatres in Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Murmansk, Novgorod, St Petersburg, Saratov, Tallinn (Estonia); art director of the Circus in Avtovo (1996–1998) and the Mimigranty Theatre (1999– 2002), both St Petersburg. Taught at St Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Art (2005–2014). Main collections: State Museum of Theatre and Music, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), Staraya Ladoga Museum-Reserve of History, Architecture and Archaeology, State art museums in Sevastopol and Tver.
