Studied at the M. A. Dzhemal Dagestan College of Art, Makhachkala (1963–1966); Moscow Institute of Printing Trade (1966–1968). Exhibited since 1970. Member of IFA (1998–2003). Lived and worked in St Petersburg (1996–2003), since 2003 in Starotitarovskaya Stanitsa, Krasnodar Territory. Main collections: New Museum (St Petersburg); State Museum of Contemporary Art (Thessaloniki, Greece), Kolodzei Foundation, Zimmerli Art Museum (both New Brunswick, USA).
