Studied at the Leningrad Palace of Pioneers art studio (1959–1961); the Children’s Art School affiliated with Leningrad Art College (1961–1963) under G. N. Antonov; Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1963–1966); the Repin Institute of Arts (1966–1972) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under A. F. Pakhomov, M. A. Taranov and V. A. Vetrogonsky. Exhibited since 1973. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1977), the Association of Art Critics (1992). Worked as an artist for the magazine Koster (Bonfire, 1972–1980), for the publishing houses Lenizdat (1980s) and Detgiz (1988–1990). Teaches at the St Petersburg City Centre for Children’s Technical Creativity (since 2001). Lives and works in St Petersburg. Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), S. P.
