Studied at Arkhangelsk State Pedagogical Institute (1961–1968) in the Faculty of Philology; V. V. Sterligov’s studio in Leningrad (1972–1973). Exhibited from 1974. Member of the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1981), IFA (1991), the Free Culture Partnership association (2000). Lived and worked in St Petersburg (from 1972) and Arkhangelsk. Main collections: Central Museum of Communications, State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), Museum of Organic Culture (Kolomna), Museum Agency (Leningrad Region), State art museums in Arkhangelsk and Samara; Berlin State Museums (Germany), State Art Collections (Dresden, Germany), Saxony- Anhalt Arts Foundation (Halle, Germany), Gallery of Contemporary Art (Hamburg, Germany).
