Studied at Leningrad Art College (1968–1972). Exhibited since 1971. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1978). Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation (2004). Awarded the Order of St Sergius of Radonezh of the Russian Orthodox Church (2004). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1968). Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), State Museum of the History of St Petersburg, State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (all St Petersburg), Gatchina State Museum-Reserve, Lodeinoe Pole Museum of History and Regional Studies (both Leningrad Region), State art museums in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Magnitogorsk, Murmansk, Petrozavodsk, Tula, Vologda and Yakutsk.
