Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1975–1978); the Repin Institute of Arts (1978–1984) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under V. A. Vetrogonsky. Exhibited since 1983. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1988). Taught at the Kunstschule Baden-Baden, Germany (1994–1995). Lives and works in St Petersburg.
