Painter, graphic, theatre artist
Studied at the Drawing School of the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of Arts (1908–1913); the Imperial Academy of Arts as an external student (1913–1915); PGSKhUM – VKhUTEMAS, Pg (1920–1922) under D. N. Kardovsky and K. S. Petrov-Vodkin; the Repin Institute of Arts in Further Training Courses (1934–1936). Exhibited from 1915. Member of the associations Obschina khudozhnikov (Commune of Artists, 1928–1930), Obschestvo zhivopistsev (Society of Painters, 1929–1930), Association of Artists of the Revolution (1929), Union of Soviet Artists (1933). Teacher and head of Bezhetsk Art Studio (1918–1920); taught at Leningrad Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers and the Artillery Academy of the Red Army (1930s). Main collections: ROSIZO (Moscow), State Russian Museum (St Petersburg), Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts.
