Studied at Leningrad College of Art and Design – Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1946– 1951) under L. F. Ovsiannikov. Member of the USSR Union of Cinematographers, the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1975). Worked as a scenic artist (1951–1958), a production designer (1958–1994) at the Lenfilm studio. Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (1980). Awarded the Vasiliev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR (1980). WWII veteran, awarded the medal For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Main collections: Museum of the Lenfilm Studio (St Petersburg).
