Graphic artist, painter, art historian
Studied at Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1939– 1941, 1944–1949); the Repin Institute of Arts (1950–1956) in the Faculty of Graphic Art under M. G. Platunov, M. A. Taranov. Exhibited from 1956. Member of the USSR Union of Soviet Artists (1956), the Apollo society (1992–1998). Worked as an artist at the Detgiz publishing house (1956–1991), editor-inchief (1962–1964). Chaired the Commission for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments affiliated with the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1987–1999). Author of the monographs Burliuk. Tsvet i rifma (Burliuk. Colour and Rhyme, 1995), Nikolai Kulbin. Poisk (Nikolai Kulbin. Search, 1994) and Nikolai Kulbin. Dokumenty (Nikolai Kulbin. Documents, 1995). Main collections: State Museum of the History of Russian Literature, State Museum of L. N. Tolstoy (both Moscow), State Memorial Museum of the Defence and Siege of Leningrad, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (both St Petersburg), State art museums in Kaliningrad, Kostroma, Petrozavodsk, Sochi and Yaroslavl.
