Studied at Kosov College of Applied Art (1964–1966); Leningrad Art College (1969–1971); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1971–1976) in the Department of Monumental and Decorative Sculpture under V. L. Rybalko. Exhibited since 1974. Member of the Leningrad Branch of the RSFSR Union of Artists (1983), the Ozerki – Derevnia khudozhnikov (Artists’ Village) association (1989). Creator of monumental works in St Petersburg, Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Aarhus (Denmark), Holstebro (Denmark) and other cities. Teaches at St Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design (since 2005), Professor (2014). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1969). Main collections: ROSIZO, State Tretyakov Gallery (both Moscow), State Museum of Urban Sculpture, State Russian Museum (both St Petersburg).
