Studied at Minsk Art College (1966–1970); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1975–1983) under A. P. Zaitsev. Exhibited since 1981. Founder and member of the Kochevie (Nomads) group (1987), member of the Artists’ Union of Russia (1992). Taught at an art studio in Mga settlement (1984–1986); Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1986–1992); the Sh.V.A. (School of Barbaric Analytics, since 1987); St Petersburg State Marine Technical University (1997–2012); the Institute of Television, Business and Design (1999–2018); the Institute of Art and Restoration (since 2019). Lives and works in St Petersburg (since 1973). Main collections: S. P. Diaghilev Museum of Contemporary Art, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (both St Petersburg), State art museums in Astrakhan, Saransk and Yaroslavl; Zimmerli Art Museum (New Brunswick, USA).
