Studied at the Leningrad Secondary School of Art (1950– 1954); at the Repin Institute of Arts (1954–1960) in the Faculty of Painting under M. P. Bobyshov. Exhibited from 1958. Member of the USSR Union of Artists (1973), the Gruppa vosmi – Lestnitsa (Group of Eight – Stairs) association (1975). Worked as an artist for the publishing houses Sovetskii pisatel (Soviet Writer), Prosveschenie (Education), Malysh (Kid), Detskaia literatura (Children’s Literature), Aurora, Khudozhnik RSFSR (RSFSR Artist) and Lenizdat (from 1959). Taught at Leningrad Art College (1964–1968), Leningrad Higher College of Art and Design (1971–1973). Main collections: State Literary and Memorial Museum of F. M. Dostoevsky, State Russian Museum, Tsarskoe Selo Collection Museum (all St Petersburg), State art museums in Lesosibirsk, Saratov and Sochi.
