Exhibited from 1976. Member of the Association for Experimental Exhibitions (1976), the Association of Experimental Fine Art (1981), founder and member of the groups Letopis (Chronicle, 1977) and Novye khudozhniki (New Artists, 1982). Worked as an electrician, hospital orderly, driver, builder (1962–1976).
